Huzur Kebab was created with a simple goal, to bring fresh, authentic Turkish food to the Dunedin community. What started as an idea has quickly become a local favourite, known for generous portions, bold flavours, and genuine service.
How It Started
Huzur Kebab was founded by Mustafa and his family with a vision to bring authentic Turkish flavours and genuine hospitality to communities across New Zealand.

Born in Turkey and raised in Dunedin, Mustafa later moved to Christchurch to study, where he survived. He was injured in the 2019 Christchurch mosque tragedy, a life-changing experience that inspired him to build something meaningful, resilient, and community-focused.

Drawing inspiration from his Turkish roots and a lifelong passion for traditional cuisine, Mustafa returned to Dunedin and created Huzur Kebab with a simple mission: serve fresh, authentic Turkish food with consistency, quality, and heart.
Today, Huzur Kebab has grown into a trusted and highly rated brand known for its bold flavours, fresh ingredients, fast service, and welcoming atmosphere.
